Why is there a membership fee when other groups are free?
This community began as a free WhatsApp group in 2023. Despite platform limitations and significant administrative challenges, moderators continued supporting members without charge.
To sustain the community, improve structure, automate moderation and access, and maintain quality discussions at scale, operational funding is now required.
The membership fee supports infrastructure, moderation tools, and ongoing community management. Moderators do not fund these expenses personally.
Where does the money go?
All membership fees are deposited into a separate bank account under the Investor Network Collective, a nonprofit organization established to support this community.
Funds are used exclusively for:
- Platform infrastructure
- Administrative and moderation support
- Community tools and operational costs
What happens if the nonprofit builds reserves?
If the organization reaches a point where it has surplus reserves, those funds will be donated to immigrant-investor-friendly educational or advocacy organizations, as determined collectively.
Do moderators personally benefit from this money?
No. Membership fees are never used for individual moderator benefit. All funds are dedicated solely to sustaining and improving the community.
